Is jaipur really safe for girls
Pink city Jaipur, the city of culture, the place that was sometimes known to be the synonym of peace is now stepping ahead towards the sparking culture of metropolitan. But is it fully prepared for that? With New Delhi as the nearest neighbor that has already fetched the award of being known as the place not safe for girls and women in India is that not going to put adverse effect on this prosperous city? Well the answer is not as simple as it seems to be.
In my personal opinion it is still not prepared and needs a lot of time to accept the fact that it needs to do a lot of preparations in order to wear this crown. With incidences of girls teasing and nuisance already started it’s really very important to think of the ways through which at least the female section of this prosperous city can be made really safe.
Although Police needs to play an active role still there is much more than has to be done to make this city even better tourist destination. On the eve of New Year 2012 alone there has to be many early preparations to be done but alas it’s the same day like regular days with crime roaming fearless on the road.
With girls trying to get home early due to fear of miscreants doing nuisance after consuming alcohol on the road, the question arises is there really any reason to celebrate 2012? Don’t know but at least the answer is no for one girl, I know who met with an accident while driving home when a notorious boy tried to stop her from the running vehicle thereby leaving her injured, shocked and frightened.
Although the wounds are not very deep for the simple reason she was driving slow and the problem is not more as many people immediately came there for her help, thereby forcing the boy to flee from the scene but is this reason enough to let us sleep peacefully and enjoy coming year 2012 with all hopes?
It’s a question I would like to know from those who think they can do anything to save this city from getting ruined. Also I request all female members of Jaipur to make them strong enough to defeat any kind of trouble as then only we will say with proud yes Pink City is really pink and prosperous and prepared to become a prosperous metropolitan city.
